ROBERT (BOB) W. MILLS
Bob Mills was elected to the House of Commons in October 1993, June 1997, November 2000, July 2004 and re-elected January 2006 as the Member of Parliament for Red Deer, Alberta. He has been an active member of the Reform Party of Canada since 1990, the Canadian Alliance Party, and now the Conservative Party of Canada.
Bob was born at Young, Saskatchewan and at the age of twelve, moved to Saskatoon.
Bob graduated from the University of Saskatchewan with a BA in Science and an Education diploma. Bob majored in History and Biology. He moved to Red Deer in 1965 and taught biology at Lindsay Thurber Comprehensive High School until 1979. In 1979, Bob ran as a provincial candidate for the Social Credit Party, meeting Preston Manning, Ray Speaker, Bob Clark and others in the process. Bob lost the election by a small margin.

In 1979, Bob established Mills Travel Ltd. and in 1986 became affiliated with American Express. As the business grew, it reached its goals and became one of the major travel businesses emphasising service in the community. Bob became an active member with American Express Network and in 1992, received the Travel Hall of Fame award in Orlando.
In 2001, Bob was the recipient of the Paul Harris Fellowship Rotary International's highest award for "Service Above Self."
Bob has travelled extensively to all continents in the last 20 years.

Bob lives with his wife Nicole just south of Red Deer where he enjoys farming, gardening, photography and travel.
Bob and Nicole have 6 children: Ken is a Rhodes scholar and teaches History at the University of Toronto, Rosanno has a business in Victoria, Ric is an accountant in Victoria, Amanda is a nurse in Vancouver, Kari Anne works as an interior design architect in Red Deer and Melinda received her Ph.D.(Cum Laude) in Groningen, Holland.
