Location
Cottonwood Meadows is located in the North East corner of Blackfalds immediately east of highway 2A.
The subdivision is located on a rolling piece of terrain and will feature a school site, playing fields and will leave undisturbed a significant stand of trees and wetland in the south east corner.
Regional pathways will connect Cottonwood Meadows with recreational and community sites throughout the town.

The Community
Residential housing will form the core of land use within Cottonwood Meadows. The neighbourhood will be composed of a sensitive blend of residential land uses.
In addition to a mix of residential housing, Cottonwood Meadows will also contain a 30 acre commercial site. The intended finished result is to be a community hub that will present positive architectural values and be an integral part of not only the neighbourhood but all of Blackfalds and the surrounding community.
Cottonwood Meadows is an architecturally controlled community. The design concepts are based upon Alberta Ranch homes and Craftsman houses. The architectural concepts of these heritage homes have been adapted to better suit the building requirements and environmental demands of today's market.
