Following a tradition set by his Great Grandfather, Noboru is the fourth generation of his family to work as a potter. A graduate of the Kyoto Industrial Arts school, he made his debut in North America in 1969. He has taught at the University of Lethbridge, Faculty of Extension at the University of Alberta and has held numerous workshops the world over including a recent three month stint in France. He is represented in private, corporate and government collections in Japan, Great Britain, the United States and Canada.
